Application of positive-pressure explosion-proof station houses in the petroleum industry

Pressurized explosion-proof stations are widely used in onshore oil exploration and offshore platform oil exploration areas, where explosive gases may be generated, classified as Zone 1 and Zone 2 of Class II explosion-proof areas. Machinery and equipment operating in these areas face hazardous conditions. Instruments, oil and gas storage and transportation equipment, and similar devices require special process treatment and control. The internal electrical control components, power operation systems, protection systems, cooling and heating systems, and mechanical or electrical sparks of such equipment must be explosion-proof treated. Drilling and exploration sites have strict requirements for the explosion-proof performance of on-site equipment. Areas where fire and explosion may occur are called hazardous areas, generally divided into three zones: Zone 0, Zone 1, and Zone 2. Taking the mud logging area as an example, within a radius of 30 meters centered on the wellhead is the first-level explosion-proof zone (Zone 1/Class I area), and the area from 30 meters to 100 meters is the second-level explosion-proof zone (Zone 2/Class II area).All equipment in the first-level explosion-proof zone must be explosion-proof. In the Class II area, most equipment is also selected to be explosion-proof based on actual production safety conditions and customer requirements.
